Lead Systems Engineer – Tier III (M365 & Azure)

G6 Technologies is a Microsoft Solutions Partner supporting government contractors and SMBs across the DC Metro region. We’re looking for a Lead Systems Engineer to be our final technical escalation point and a trusted advisor to clients. This person should be as comfortable leading an executive review as fixing a critical outage. Based in Sterling, VA (hybrid).
Requirements
* Own Tier III escalations across M365, Azure, Intune, Entra ID, Defender and Windows Server environments
* Architect and lead migrations, cloud transformations and security initiatives
* Lead incident response and critical outage management
* Run customer-facing technical reviews, strategic planning sessions and executive presentations
* Mentor Tier I/II engineers and set documentation, standards and best practices for service delivery
* Partner with leadership to improve operational efficiency and client satisfaction
What we are looking for
* 7+ years in systems engineering, with MSP experience across multiple client environments
* Deep hands-on expertise in M365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams), Azure, Intune, Entra ID and Defender
* Strong grounding in Active Directory, Group Policy, networking (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls), Hyper-V/VMware, and backup and DR
* PowerShell automation skills
* Proven ability to explain technical issues in business terms and stay composed under pressure
* Microsoft certs a plus: AZ-104, AZ-305, MS-102, SC-300, MD-102
